New (to me) Blogs

As a result of the "Blogs That Make Me Think" tagging on some of the blogs I already read, I have come across several more that I will be reading from now on. They have been added to the blogroll at right. And for those who need more, there's the link to the grandest list of them all, The Big Blogroll O'Vark (R)TM(C), at the end!

  1. Thanks for the link! I'm not sure if I was there before or not, but again, thanks!
You're on my blogroll now as well.

  2. Hey Frank -- you weren't, you were one of the ones new to me from a post on Weedon's Blog.

I should have put Das Boot on my Favorite Movie list. Absolutely stunning. Two others I like in the war movie that is about a lot more than war category are The Enemy Below and The Blue Max.

I'm enjoying adding your blog to the ones I regularly visit!

  3. Did Fr. Wheedon link to me?

In the war movie category, I need to add the special edition version of Blackhawk Down. When played with the commentary by the soldiers who were actually there on, it's eye opening. They dont view the mission as a failure just because the lost lives but rather a success because they completed the mission.

  4. Pastor Weedon's blog doesn't have a blog roll. But you were linked to in a post about "blogs that make me think". That's also where I found your and the other blogs new to me.

I haven't seen the special edition version. Kill Bill eh? Did you like any of David Carradine's earlier work? There was a short lived series where he played his own grandson from Kung Fu, set in modern times. In addition to the usual Sunday AM fare, I saw a guy going on about the Tao Te Ching last Sunday.

  5. I was never a fan of Carradine in his younger days. Sure I watched Kung Fu, who didn’t? What I like about the movie (Kill Bill) is really Tarintino’s dialogue driven characters, especially the women. Right now in Hollywood, smart dialogue for women just seems to be a rarity.
